Thank you for this initiative, how splendid that more Gurney will be heard and enjoyed by a wider audience for years to come - and it's wonderful that this should be done by Tenebrae, so the musical values will be the highest possible. I can't wait to hear the recording!

Jane Potter Baumer 12th April 2018

Don't know anything about this project, but I love Tenebrae. Thanks for bringing Joby Talbot's amazing music to Pittsburgh, PA, last month! I have never heard anything like it, and your performance was fabulous!

Steve Ellis 11th April 2018

A walk with music made by Tenebrae will be like walking across a warm meadow under blue sky. Keep singing with your hearts as much as your voices. Steve Ellis

Every time I hear Tenebrae sing, I am blown away by the clarity of the diction and the purity of the sound. Also I love English song music, so all in all a great combination! Look forward to hearing it!

Monica Anne Darnbrough 11th March 2018

Tenebrae's purity of sound is exceptional and should give us a poignant performance of Ivor Gurney's works - a moving tribute to him and all those who died in the 1914-18 war. A timely project.

Jonathan Charles Earl 5th March 2018

Delighted to support this wonderful choir, which has given me so much pleasure in recent years. Especially pleased to see that Tenebrae is participating in the WWI centenary commemorative events, and with such an imaginative programme.

Jo Forrest 2nd March 2018

Not only are Tenebrae one of the best choirs in the world, they are a thoroughly lovely group of people and I'm very proud and blessed to be a regional ambassador for them. Thank you Tenebrae for all that you do & enjoy recording the album!

Anna O'Connor 2nd March 2018

I read 'The Ordeal of Ivor Gurney' in 1979, and have been intrigued by him ever since. Always happy to see greater promotion of his work. Also glad to support anything involving the superb voice of Sarah Connolly.
