To celebrate the incredible efforts of all the Team GB athletes out in Tokyo over the past few weeks, we've created a one-of-a-kind 2021 edition of the Team GB x Brompton bike, in collaboration with British Red Cross, the official charity of Team GB.
Featuring unique British Red Cross branding throughout the bike, it comes in a stylish red lacquer (never seen before on a Brompton), with gloss white and blue extremities. This special edition is finished with a special Brooks saddle and Lion Graphic bag.
Team GB athletes and staff have been using this special bike to help transport them around Tokyo throughout the Games, zipping between venues, training centres and the athletes' villages.
The prize draw will be open for 2 weeks with all proceeds going to the incredible work of British Red Cross; you can find out further details below. Please note there is a free postal vote included in the options.
The British Red Cross is the official charity partner of Team GB. Both believe in the power of everyday people working together to achieve extraordinary things. Team GB prides itself on bringing together different sports and individuals into one team – One Team GB – bigger than the sum of its parts. The British Red Cross is powered by a movement of volunteers - who perform simple acts of kindness to make a huge difference to someone in crisis.
At a time when the pandemic has left people feeling lonelier than ever, the British Red Cross and Team GB hope to inspire the nation to come together and look out for each other. Together, they will celebrate the power of kindness and support the most vulnerable in our communities.
All money raised through this campaign will help fund the British Red Cross’ work across the UK and overseas. That includes making sure people have the connections they need, so that our communities are more resilient and can stand strong to face the future. Our teams are also supporting people who have been hit hardest by Covid-19, with practical and emotional help, as well as assisting at hospitals and vaccination centres.
Since the start of the pandemic the British Red Cross has reached more than two million people in the UK. Its volunteers and staff have delivered food and medicine to people’s doorsteps, got patients home from hospital and been there for people at their loneliest moments on its Coronavirus Support Line. Their online advice and information has been there for everyone, whether you’re an individual struggling with loneliness or a healthcare worker or volunteer who needs help to protect your own mental health as you help others. Globally, the Red Cross Movement has supported 1 in 30 people during the pandemic.
With your support, you’ll be help the British Red Cross to reach people in vulnerable situations so they won’t have to face a crisis on their own.
