Last year 100 surprise Back to School wellbeing boxes went out to deserving teachers across the country.
30 volunteers, myself included, spent their summer collating, packing and sending boxes out to nominated teachers in time for the start of the new academic year.
Last year with volunteers spending approximately £10-20 per box, in addition to postage and packaging it truly showed the generosity of each and every valued participant. However, the number of boxes that could be sent had to be limited despite having over 100 nominations by the end of the summer holidays. Luckily there weren't too many that missed out due to the amazing generosity of others.
This year it would be amazing if we were able to send a box to everyone nominated, so that's where you come in.
Instead of having numerous volunteers across the country, working individually to create their boxes, we plan to streamline the project. Myself and a small team of volunteers will be working together in a secret location to source, package and post Back to School boxes to deserving teachers at the beginning of the new academic year.
Each box will contain the following
- stationery
- sweet treats
- healthy snacks
- tea bags/hot chocolate sachets
- a keep sake
- a positive postcard
And for those that leave a personal message for their chosen colleague or teacher, the message will be included.
Each box will come professionally wrapped and branded along with information on how to get involved with #teacher5adaybuddybox and the wider scheme #teacher5aday.

In addition to collating, creating and sending the boxes, your donations will go towards improving the website, sourcing boxes and packaging materials and printing custom made information postcards about teacher wellbeing.
