Tara’s trike dream

To raise money for a specially adapted trike that Tara can ride all by herself....her dream come true!

by Michelle Manzi in Barnet, Greater London, England

We did it
On 12th December 2017 we successfully raised £2,340 with 77 supporters in 35 days

It is Tara’s dream to have a bike she can ride by herself, she said that if she won the lottery, this is what she would get.

There are not enough words to describe the beauty and sweetness of Tara’s soul and we feel very lucky that she came to us, to fill our lives with love and laughter; a shining light in a difficult, unforgiving world.

Tara really deserve’s the best, but has had to endure far from that since being born very prematurely resulting in a series of brain haemorrhages causing many long term issues such as hemiplegia, brain cyst, partial vision, learning difficulties, enteral feeding and seizures.

It is very difficult to find somewhere to fund anyone over the age of 25 so I’m hoping that there may be the possibility to find some help here.

Attached is a picture of when the company came to fit her with the right trike and give us a quote. We had to lie to Tara and say that she was ‘part of a scheme of a few people that the company would like to measure, for when they finally make a bike like this...which may be in a few years time....so don’t get any ideas!’

What we are hoping for most is to make her dream come true for her 30th birthday which is on 2nd January 2018.

Please help us raise £2000 to make her dream come true....thank you.
