This idea came to us during the COVID-19 pandemic, rules and regulations have been far too harsh on small/ medium businesses, causing larger organizations to thrive and grow, and smaller ones to close their doors. TagTeams is a way that organizations, regardless of size can have access to online influencers in an affordable and efficient way. Micro-influencers are one of the most effective ways to advertise and in Canada we have 3.4 million micro-influencers, with their own local jurisdictions and pull.
Beyond benefiting small/ medium businesses we will also be creating a way for Canadian's to earn additional earnings. Especially now, with COVID-19, any form of disposable income would be appreciated by many. This platform will enable people who had no intention of devoting to a full-time influencer career to earn some supplemental income on the side, by leveraging their existing platform.
TagTeams seeks to connect small/ medium sized businesses to these micro-influencers, who cost only a fraction of what a large influencer would and have 4x the engagement. Think of our idea like an AirBnb for online marketing, rather than renting out physical space, businesses can rent out online space in a way that guarantees that they are being seen and heard, while also helping them grow their brand, awareness and following.
As recent graduates, we need some support in getting this platform up and running, we will be using the money raised to help us create our MVP1 version of our app. The first step in bringing our vision to life!
