Tackling Bullying in Youth Politics

Tackling Bullying in Youth Politics

Help tackle bullying, and contribute funding that will go towards addressing the impacts it has on mental health.

We did it!

On 26th May 2016 we successfully raised £59 of £50 target with 7 supporters in 28 days

Bullying is an incredibly important issue, that has an acute impact on many of us at some point in our lives, particularly amongst young people. We believe more should be done to recognise and address this issue.

Bullying can occur in all circles of life, including political parties and their youth organisations. It is particularly relevant to our society and the Conservative Party, because of the tragic news from last year where Elliott Johnson, a member of Conservative Future, committed suicide due to alleged bullying he was subjected to as a member of the party's youth wing.

This is an issue that should be acknowledged and addressed by groups such as ours. Which is why our society are holding a focus group discussion event on what more can/should be done, and we have created this crowdfunding page in order to raise money that will go towards addressing this issue.

No money raised will go to our society, the Conservative Party or our Student's Union. It will all go to Mind, a mental health charity.

Mind are dedicated to raising awareness of mental health issues, and providing support to those suffering from abuse (such as bullying for example).

Please make a contribution, no matter how big or small! You will be contributing to a fantastic cause!
