Jewish Care is crowd funding for Susan Schlaen to publish a book about her life experiences including her battles with mental health illness

by Susan Schlaen in London, Greater London, England

We did it
On 24th September 2018 we successfully raised £650 with 14 supporters in 34 days

To help with Susan's continued development with her challenges with mental health related illnesses, it was suggested by Sheree Charalampous, who is the Social Care Coordinator at Sidney Corob House, that Susan should tell her story so that others could be inspired by her tenacity and will to survive.

Jewish Care is the charity which manages Sidney Corob House and we are crowdfunding to complete the publication of Susan's book. Funds were initially raised at our Woman of Distinction event but we now need to raise the final amount to complete the project.

Susan is very funny and outwardly confident, with these qualities, she has maintained and fostered a support network enabling her to continue to buying and selling, wheeling and dealing and regularly volunteering.

Susan has courageously told her story about loss, homosexuality, breakdowns, romances, Jewish life and drug abuse. Combining this with an vivid memory and recall, she has an amazing story to tell.
