June 2017 after the shop on the high st being out of use for over 4 years we made the decision to bring it back to life, there were holes in the walls, electrics hanging from all around, a tree fallen in the roof amongst many others issues but we felt that this building with its history shouldn’t fall into any further dis repair and could just well become a viable business once more.
After several months of hard work including the top storey now being converted into dwellings by another owner we opened up on December 11th Funds had dwindled in part due to myself requiring surgery on my spine, but we were and still are determined that this historic building dating back to 1904 should not fall anymore into dis repair and end up being just another empty site around the area.
Fast forward a year and we’ve seen many ups and downs including fighting an endless battle against business rates of which unfortunately we were lead believe we were expect from.
We desperately want to not only survive but thrive for more - to do this we need help we need vital funds to in part settle business rates and to push and develop the outside and event catering part of the business which we believe is an essential to keep the business viable.
We would very much appreciate your support.
