We are a same sex couple who have been together for nearly 18 years and civil parnered for 8 years. We have always wanted a family and 6 years ago we looked for a surrogate on the co parent website. We matched pretty quickly with an agreement to help a lesbian couple to have a baby first by us home donating for which happened first time for them and 9 months later they had a healthy baby boy.

6 months later our to be surrogate said she was happy to start our jouney - the excitement was immense. This time it took 1 and a half years to get pregnant with our little one but it happened. We were present at all hospital appointments and scans, purchased everything we needed to get us started, sorted out our works and even paid money upfront for reasonable costs. All upto our due date we were in constant contact and visiting weekly. Then came 2 days before our due date and it happened... all contact stopped from our surrogates side and nothing for 4 days. Finally I received a text message from our surrogate to inform us she had had our baby and was keeping it and our money.

Obviously this was the world ending for us, our family and friends. We had no legal standing to have anything to do with the baby and to be honest didn't have the funds to drag through the courts. Although we understood the maternal bond between a lady and the birth child and we had spoken often about bonds throughout and offered for the surrogate to be in our childs life if she wanted to be, to dismissue the pressence every time and reasure us every thing is ok throughout and to take our money - it was just devastating. We did manage to take our surrogate to court and was awarded a portion of the money we had given them but have since had to send the bailiffs in to recover our judgement.

Now it's been a few years, we have sold our old home and purchased our forever home and hoping to try this again with a difference. We would like to work through a clinic like surrogacy UK to ensure the money would go to a true surrogate and we get our long awaited family. To do this is very expensive as you can imagine so any help you good people could offer us achieve our dream of having a family we would be eternally grateful.

I have not told my husband of me doing this because I would not want to get his hopes up. We are a giving and always helpful couple that just want a family.

P.s The picture is of us and our nephew.

Thank you all in advanced for your support.
