I am a student with no support from my family as I grew up in Forster care since the age of 11 years old due to experiencing a lot of abuse growing up (sexual and physical). When I came into Forster care, I had an even more traumatic experience growing up as I was placed with other children who were more troubled and they would often abuse me too. I grew up as a good child with so many bad things happening to me and no one I trusted to speak to comfortably. I decided to just focus on myself and my future and success.
During my time growing up, I always saved my money and I decided to invest it for my future. I decided to invest my savings in the stock market and recently this year lost it all during the stock market crash which happened due to the coronavirus. I lost £78,000. This is devastating for me as I am a student with no job and no one to help me through this. I have no money to get by and not sure what to do. I decided to write this in hope that someone may be able to help my personal cause. I don’t even have enough money to apply for a job and buy interview clothes or even pay for transport to get to a job interview as I lost everything. It really makes me sad as I have always had big dreams and I was hoping to build a good life for myself but now my hopes have been taken from me and my life has completely changed and I don’t even have anyone to turn to. I was also needing the money to support me through my education and now I don’t know if I will even be able to complete my degree. It is also scary having no money and struggling financially day to day as I am living in a really expensive city (London) with no money and no support.
