Having been on receiving end of violence in a past relationship, it is so good to hear there are people out there to help support rebuild a future and regain lost confidence. No-one knows how awful it feels to be in this situation unless they have been themselves. People are all to quick to judge and think the simple answer is to leave that person. Abusers are very crafty, manipulative people. Good luck to all those who are suffering. Hope 2021 is better for you.

I have a few friends who have had to make use of services similar to this one. Domestic abuse is so much more common than a lot of people think. With controlling and coercive behaviour a big factor

Like your founder, I also come from a family with a history of violence. Luckily my Mum had the courage to leave and family to support her but I feel sad that others may have nowhere to turn. Organisations like yours will make all the difference. Best of luck.
