Hi, my name is Abi and I am the proud owner of Welsh Luxury Hamper Company- launching in September 2019. I will be selling luxury keepsake hamper boxes to my public and corporate clients through my website. Each hamper is filled with products from all over Wales inspired by the beautiful landscape and heritage. One particular hamper I will be launching is a New Born Hamper including Welsh Wool, Baby Love Spoon and Welsh Baby soap.
I do however need your help to help me get this business off the ground and help to avoid me taking out a large business loan.
In 2017 I suprisingly recieved a university place to study Music at Bath Spa University. I initially enjoyed it but then found a month in I started to really struggle. I have never really had a reason as to why I struggle so much academically but I was about to find out why. I didn't recieve the correct support in school and wasn't treated fairly in university. I was diagnosed with severe dyslexia in both reading and writing. It had never been picked up until then. I ended up dropping out of university after 4 months of attending and unfortunately racked up a large student loan for just attending for three months.
After dropping out I suffered severely with mental health issues, due to a lack of confidence and feeling a bit of a failure. I had to go on medication to help me get through this difficult period of time. I decided to pick myself up a few months later and attend a business course through a local college. They have helped me reach the position I am today. I have spoken at a number of events and featured in the newspaper trying to encourage other young women like me and people with dyslexia to achieve all their dreams and desires.
I have always struggled financially and I would like to avoid taking out a large business loan to help me achieve my dream. So would be so grateful for any help you can give me.
I have plans to take on corporate customers from all around Wales like: Mercedes, WRU hospitality and Bellway.
When my business is off the ground I am going to work closely with the MIND Charity, to return the favour of the support they gave me through such a difficult time. I would not be here without them today.
