Help Us Improve our CCTV @ Growing Together Shoeburyness
Trust Links is crowdfunding in order to improve and upgrade our CCTV system at Growing Together Shoeburyness following a spate of break-ins and vandalism to the site. Recent vandalism was the trellises smashed, plants thrown around the garden and the polytunnels slashed. A new CCTV system will cost £1,000 and your donation towards this cost will be a great boost to our charity and the adults and children that benefit from the project each week.
Our Community Garden has recently been awarded a prestigious Green Flag award, after the grounds were transformed from a vacant allotment site into a productive community garden, including the construction of two polytunnels, a log cabin, wildlife pond, outdoor classroom and several vegetable growing areas.
Growing Together Shoeburyness runs a range of groups supporting adults with mental health problems and learning disabilities, young people, school groups, early years groups, home educated children and a women’s group. More than 500 adults with mental health problems and learning disabilities and young people have been involved in developing the garden, whilst training in horticulture and garden maintenance.
