Refillabell
12th October 2020Week 2
Dear Supporters
Another busy and exciting week has gone by
We now have donations totally £2130,which is fantastic-can almost taste that peanut butter!!
We have also been very fortunate in managing to secure £500 from Herts County Councillor Stephen Giles Medhurst's Locality budget! We made the bid specifically for bike lock up facilities, with the amazing PlantLock in mind. This way we can have a place to lock up bikes, tie up dogs and also some lovely flowers to soften the shop frontage. They weigh 75 kg when planted, so hopefully will stay put!
Our friendly local painter and handy man, James ,has started to work on the front of the shop-washing, sanding and cutting out rotten bits of wood in earnest. He has also had to take down the signage, which makes the shopfront look totally naked! We are being nagged on a daily basis to reveal the colours of the shop front-we are almost ready to tell you,but not quite.Might have to let James know first!
We have also been on radio-BBC Three Counties 108.3 to be precise. Last night we were interviewed by Farzana Chaudry, who lives in Watford, and we chatted briefly about Refillabell. Wonderful to get the publicity.
POP-UP 2
We have also announced another POP-UP for 24th October ,where we will give away free samples of british made eco washing up and laundry liquid. Please bring your own bottles and jars for this one!
Lets hope the weather is a bit kinder this time.
Thank you once again for all of your amazing support!
