My name is Momo (short for Miyoko) and I'm a 10-year-old female Akita. I love nothing more than to be snuggled up with my humans, getting belly rubs from strangers and eating yummy food! (especially if it doesn't belong to me!)
I'm getting on in years and my health isn't what it once was. I suffer from a disease called Cushings which is a hormone imbalance that requires tablets every day; I have arthritis which means I can't walk very far and have to take medication to ease the pain. My eyesight and hearing is not quite what it used to be, but I'm still just as full of love as I ever was.
Because I am now a senior dog and only developed Cushings and Arthritis in the past year, my insurance company has decided to increase the cost of my cover by more than 100%, much to the concern of my humans. They love me so much and want to make sure I can still get the best care possible, but they're gonna need a little help!
