Our aim is to help financially support Jam Theatre and ultimately keep it going after it has suffered badly from lockdown and restrictions.
The money will go to pay for the professional actors that had rehearsed, the costumes, the set build, props, choreographer, music editing, theatre equipment hire ( sound, lighting, staging ) printing that now can’t be used, van hire etc.
Jam Theatre Company is a small family run business that has been running in Marlow for 15 years. We put on professional shows every year, have trained thousands of students and employ professional performers regularly to perform in Marlow. I (Kayla) have watched my parents lovingly work for the last 15 years to bring incredible theatre and training to the people of Marlow. Between them they do about 7 peoples full time jobs and are exhausted year after year but carry on anyway! As I’m sure you are aware, the pandemic has caused our family business many problems but each one we’ve found a way around. We were so excited to bring some live theatre back this Christmas but the recent tier 3 announcement has left us devastated and in a terrible position financially. There is so much cost to cover which obviously can no longer be covered by ticket sales. So, if you would like to see Jam stay open .... please consider donating. Thank you so much.
