Ellan Vannin (Manx for the Isle of Man) is a Senior Men's International Football Team that through competing in International Tournaments promotes the Heritage and Culture of the Isle of Man. This team is operated by a volunteer non profit making organisation, Manx International Football Alliance.
Since its formation in 2014 the team has competed in the CONIFA World Football Cup in SWEDEN, the NIAMH Challenge Cup in the Isle of Man and the CONIFA Euros in HUNGARY having played 13 matches with a record of 10 wins and 3 defeats.
This year will see Ellan Vannin competing in Europeada 2016 a 24 team tournament to be held in South Tyrol, Italy organised by the Federal Union of European Nationalities. This four yearly tournament will allow all participants to promote their Culture and Language Internationaly and once again will enable Ellan Vannin to promote the rich heritage and culture of our Island.
To enable Ellan Vannin to compete in Italy we need to raise sufficient funds to cover travel and accommodation costs and believe we can offer anybody that supports a unique way of owning a 'piece of history' as well as supporting the chosen charity of Ellan Vannin, NIAMHS NEXT STEP, a charity established to raise funding for research into the aggressive form of Child Cancer, Neuroblastoma.
We are offering for your support all previously match worn shirts which will be accompanied by a certificate providing details of the competition or match they were worn in and information on the player.
