Thank you for taking the time to read this post.
Suffolk Baby Bank was founded by mum's in the community who saw a need in their local area's that needed to be met. With strain on statutory services and funding for support services being cut it was identified that the need to launch a baby bank to support families experiencing poverty.
Suffolk Baby Bank collects and distributes pre-loved and new donations of clothing, toiletries and equipment for bump and beyond, to local families facing financial hardship. We have no age cap, we are a family bank and aim to help as many people as possible, in whatever the circumstance.
The more funds we can raise, the more women and children we can help through the additional hardship caused by Coronavirus. We have seen a huge increase in demand for our services, with mum's and children unable to access services as usual.
We believe that mental health and well being goes hand in hand with financial hardship. Aiming to help those who need it at all times and to support or signpost those who need it as well as we can.
Because of the Coronavirus pandemic there are more mum's and babies than ever who are simply unable to afford or even access the most basic supplies - food, nappies, wipes - for their babies. We need your help now so we can support them with these items.
ALL of the funds we raise through this appeal will be used to buy vital supplies that will be distributed to those most in need via our trusted referral partners in Suffolk, Women's Aid shelters, Family support workers for Suffolk County council, NHS Health Perinatal Professionals, MumsAid, Mindful Mums, Best Beginnings Midwives and Mutual Aid groups and many more.
