Severn Project receives £10,000 boost

The Severn Project continue to grow with £10,000 boost from Santander Changemaker Fund

The Severn Project are an award winning urban farm in Bristol.

As well as providing the South West with 200 tons of salad and herbs since 2010, they support people from challenging backgrounds by providing education, training and employment.

Severn Project have found a new location in Holt, Wiltshire and are crowdfunding £20,000 to enable them to launch the new site with a full infrastructure - including irrigation system, agricultural building, road, car park and machinery.

Project owner Steve set up his crowdfunding project and immediately reached out to friends, family and locals - pre-selling products as rewards for donations.

Steve also contacted local suppliers asking for support for the new venture and within the first few days, the project raised an impressive £5,000.

How Santander supported the project

Through Crowdfunder, the Severn Project has received £10,000 funding from the Santander Changemaker Fund.

This funding boost means that Steve and his team are well on their way towards opening the new site.

Allowing them to supply even more people with locally-grown, nutrient dense produce and to continue to create employment and training opportunities.
