Hi,

My name is Claire Mathews and I am one of 2 adult student nurse's from Liverpool.

We are currently in our 2nd year, at Edge Hill University England, with an option to travel to Tanzania for our 3rd year elective placement.

I have worked at Aintree Hospital in Liverpool for 10 years as a health care assistant, before starting my degree and believe that the skills, training and life experience that we will benefit from in Tanzania will be priceless.

Due to university, placement, work, home life and financial commitments, there is no way I could afford to fund myself, therefore I am asking you lovely people if you could offer any support.

I am a true believer in community spirit and helping disadvantaged communities, therefore, when I qualify as a nurse, I will use my knowledge and skills I have learnt during all of my placements including this placement to benefit the community in Liverpool, where I grew up.

We work so hard to continue with our degree and our role as student nurses, balancing everything intricately and would love to be able to enrich our studies with this placement.

Every penny counts and we would be so appreciative of any help, we will be doing sponsored hike up Mount Snowden to get us prepared for the altitude by Kilimanjaro and many other fundraising ideas.

Thank you very much
