Please join us in helping to elect Stuart Tuckwood as another Green Party MP – the 1st for Cambridge.
Stuart will be a strong voice standing up for the free movement of people and will fight the government to give you a meaningful say over Brexit; he'll push relentlessly for a well-funded NHS fully owned by the public; and he'll take real action to avoid a climate change disaster in our near future.
Stuart is a local campaigner and NHS Charge Nurse working at Addenbrooke's. He is standing with the Green Party, who are a major force in Cambridge and have seen a groundswell of support in local elections since the Green Surge. With your help, we can make Cambridge a Green city to be proud of, and fight for fair and sustainable policy across the United Kingdom. Stuart said:
"In Cambridge the Conservatives have little chance of success. Voters here should vote for what they believe in. The Green Party are fully committed to supporting the free movement of people, a fully public and funded NHS and free higher education. If you value these things, you must support me on June 8."
Stuart and his team are ready to put in the weeks of work it's going to take to get him elected: talking to residents in every corner of the city; sending out leaflets (always 100% recycled!); getting volunteers to spread the word.
Unfortunately, campaigning also requires money – for leaflets, letters, posters, ads and more – and unlike candidates with the “old” parties, we don't have bags of cash to dip into. In fact, all we've got is what Stuart is putting in himself, and what supporters like you can contribute.
Every £10 lets us reach hundreds more voters, and Green Party campaigning has the best ratio of votes won to money spent. The more we raise, the more votes we'll get on 8th June.
So please give what you can to help Stuart get elected – and be part of making change happen here in Cambridge.
(Campaign expenditure is limited by the Electoral Commission and by the number of volunteers we have available. In the event that we raise more money than we can spend, this will be contributed to electing Green Party candidates in future elections.
