A group of twenty six people have come together to face this immense challenge of learning not one but two Ballroom and Latin dances to raise vital funds for Almost Home Ni.
Almost Home NI is an animal rescue centre based in Moira, County Armagh NI and they work tirelessly to rescue and welcome abandoned animals who through no fault of their own have found themselves unwanted or homeless. Originally just rehoming dogs they have now welcomed with open arms cats, rabbits, goats, ferrets and even a few terrapins who have found themselves with no where to go. Almost Home also have a doggy version of an elderly care home for dogs who are old and have been loved for years by their owners who have either unfortunately passed away or became too frail to look after their four legged best friend. They very sadly do also take in elderly dogs who have been tossed to the side to make room for a new puppy.
Almost Home needs our help with the mounting vet bills, the food bills, the day to day costs of running a shelter and help with ensuring that every animal they welcome is treated with love and care they sorely deserve.
My 26 volunteers will be giving up 3 months of their lives in January 2020 to rehearse for this show while also fundraising inbetween practises and their own home lives, something which I applaud them for ! These funds are vital for Almost Home NI however we do sadly have to deduct costs from all of our hard earned fundraising efforts. These costs are for hotel hire, video and music rights, costumes and other such neccessities needed to produce this show. We have negotiated good deals with our hotel but it is still expensive and we would rather our funds went to Almost Home NI instead however we understand other businesses do need to make these charges.
We are hoping to raise over £20,000 with this event, a lifeline for Almost Home NI and it will ensure they can continue and better their amazing work !
Can you help me ensure we keep our costs to the absolute minimal and keep our fundraising money for Almost Home NI.
