To stop the incinerator proposed for Alfreton Road, Derby

We did it!

On 27th Apr 2017 we successfully raised £335 with 15 supporters in 21 days

The proposal for a waste incinerator on Alfreton Road near Chester Green can be found here:

It will be considered by the Planning Conmittee of Derby City Council on 13th April.

Many local people are unaware of the proposal. Of those who do know about it, there is strong local opposition to this plan. Unfortunately the Planning Officer has recommended that it should be granted. I firmly believe that the proposed incinerator presents risks to our health and in particular to the health of our children. I also believe that it will have a very detrimental effect on the area, which is in the buffer zone of a World Heritage Site. It will spoil our enjoyment of Darley Park, the rugby club and the Nature Reserve.

I have arranged for a specialist planning barrister to provide us with a written document for the Planning Committee Meeting but I need some help funding these legal costs.

Please - if you want to stop this - join me and make a contribution of whatever you can afford.

I will e-mail a copy of the written advice by the specialist barrister to any person who contributes to the fund if they send me their e-mail addrsss.

Thank you

Juliet Beck
