Any of you that know Liz & Steve (Wobs) Waterman and their 3 young children Katie, Jimmy & Emma will know what a lovely family they are.
It is, therefore, with such a heavy heart to write that Steve was recently diagnosed with an inoperable high-grade brain tumour called Glioblastoma. As you can imagine we are all devastated by this tragic news and it has thrown them, their family and close friends into a whole scary world of brain cancer, looking at treatments and alternative therapies, desperate to be able to do something to help.
We must stress that Steve and Liz are remaining positive. They are both very proud and humble people who wouldn't want to be seen as a charity so we are really doing this without their entire blessing (in fact Steve doesn't even know). We've had lots of calls and texts from people wanting to help them which is why we are setting up this page. Obviously they will need some help as Steve will not be able to work for the foreseeable future. Any money raised can go towards potential additional treatments and trials, alternative therapies and household bills.
Steve starts 6 weeks of intense radiotherapy and chemotherapy around the beginning of July (as a few more tests are needed prior to this). We are all praying that this treatment will work and know they are in for the fight of their lives but if anyone can do it Steve can!
Steve is an absolute legend, as we're sure most of you know, you will not find a nicer man who is also the most fun to be around. We challenge anybody to tell us of a night out with Steve where they haven't been in stitches with his witty humour and crazy antics. Liz is also a legend in her own right which is what makes them such a great couple - they've been together for 23 years. We know how much they are all loved so anything anybody can do to support them, however small, is much appreciated. Having said that, obviously, it is not all about money and we do not expect anything but we would love positive thoughts for their family.
Thank you for visiting our page.
With all our love from Steve and Liz's family and close friends.
