I've been give a massive opportunity to compete at the world transplant games in Malaga. This event is a charity event which will take place in June 2017. The event is to raise awareness around the world to what is possible from organ donation and to increase awareness of organ transplantation. I will be competing in the 30km road race, 4 man team time trial in cycling and 100m, 200m, 400m and high jump against the best athletes from around the world with organ transplants. To get there I need your support. In doing so it will be your opportunity to contribute towards raising awareness through my achievement.
My story: I cut my finger in my early 20's and it became septic. With in a week I was rushed into hospital with a serious case of septicaemia. The months a head I went down hill fast, to the the point were my kidneys stopped working. I nearly lost my life if it wasn't for the skilled consultant on duty one night. From then on I spent the next 6 years in and out of hospital very ill. Until my mum gave me a second chance of a normal life. She donated her kidney in November 2004. Since then I have been trying to look after my new kidney, raise awareness for organ donation and how it can save, improve people's lives. This is my opportunity to give something back to my mum but also make awareness of how anyone can do a selfless act to save a persons life.
All donations go to the TSUK charity.
Thankyou.
