In April 2020 I will be running the London Marathon to honour the memory of my cousin Stephen.
Both Stephen and I grew up as keen runners, having grown up a few steps away from the starting line of the London Marathon in Greenwich. Stephen joined the Cambridge Harriers and competed alongside future team GB athletes. And I ran cross-country competitively throughout all of my teens.
Now several decades later, I am running again – this time for a cause. To raise funds & awareness for all the good work the Trust does with young people across the UK. And to promote a message of Peace, Unity & Hope in these times of increased division and despair.
This year I featured in a BBC short film about original investigation and the changes in the law that mean suspects can be retried.
Watch the doc belowStephen Lawrence was a young black man with a promising future ahead of him in the field of architecture. He was a kind & gentle soul, fun to be around, and I miss him every day.

A classic backpack silhouette is revitalised in this latest collaboration with Porter. Made in Japan, this dark olive design is crafted from a lightweight nylon, with contrasting metallic accents in the form of a buckle and etched logo snap buttons.
British Artist now living and working in LA, Fil Fury has created iconic images by deconstructing classic sneaker silhouettes, into insects and more. Phil has kindly donated one of his amazing signed prints to help raise funds for my cause. Signed Super Star Beetle Print
