My youngest son has now moved out and I want to remain in my home, dog sitting is perfect for me. I'm not well enough to go out to work everyday however I can dog sit and provide a loving caring protected and healthy environment for small dogs whether it be on a daily basis for their human to go out to work or whether its for their human to go on holiday. I have my own little dog Molly and she is great with other dogs.
I want to be able to support myself, I don't want to have to ask for help from my children or family and wish to hold my head up high and pay my bills.
I need help in order to register with the local council for a home check and to purchase a yearly licence to be a dog sitter. I also need help to purchase essential insurance. I will also need a safety gate, however I believe that everything else meets the required DEFRA standards. The only other DEFRA requirement is to keep accurate records and there is a computer package available for that, which I have budgeted for, this also includes being listed on a dog sitting register.
After I have met this initial costs I believe that this business will make money immediately as I dont foresee any other costs until the yearly costs of the licence and insurance at which point I will be making money to pay for them.
I've heard of sites asking for money for holidays, everyone has a right to spend their money where they choose but I would really appreciate the help to feel useful in society again and to have a purpose and a reason to get out of bed on a bad day and have a reason to fight to feel better, a reason to fight the depression that goes with my conditions. We all have one life and I want to make mine as full as is possible and know that I've made a small difference in someone's life by caring for their much loved pet will give me so much pleasure
