Two years ago on Valentines day 2017 we sold up and moved over 200 miles to begin an exciting new adventure as a family in Cornwall. Disillusioned with working long hours and missing out on the early years of our children's lives, we decided to slow life down for the benefit of our two growing boys and enable our aging collie rescue dog the best last few years of her life.
We fell in love with the view the moment we saw it and knew that others would too. From paddling down by the stream, lazing under the hot summer sun or watching the swallows and swifts swoop past overhead we knew that this was an ideal place to offer an escape from the modern world. We can offer a unique location close to nature but offering accommodation that does not scrimp on style or comfort. Set in the heart of the Cornish countryside within the Fal valley yet close to major visitor attractions such as the Eden Project and the world famous Lost Gardens of Heligan. We can also boast easy access to Cornwalls beautiful coastline including stunning beaches and coastal walks.
We have secured 3/4 of the financial support we need to open Stars and Embers Glamping but need a final push to get our venture off the ground. Funding raised will contribute toward raising the site from the ground whilst supporting our long term aims to increase biodiversity on site, taking the historic pasture from extensive grazing to a meadow that supports a wider more complex array of local native wildlife in harmony with the business for all to enjoy.
Your support will go towards the infrastructure of the safari tents, as well as the introduction of a small copse area later in 2019, reinstatement of stream bank and reintroduction of some native planting along the Cornish hedges.
For your support we want to give you something back in return. You could be one of the first to stay in one of the two luxury safari tents set amongst this family friendly farm site, having the satisfaction in knowing your stay has helped bring about this exciting new venture.
