The 21st century is exciting, busy and full of opportunities. But we are also increasingly disconnected from the natural world around us, and from ourselves. Social media and constant demands on our time mean that chances for reflection are sparse and places to recharge and take time out are to be treasured. This CrowdFunder project is to provide partial funding (40% of total cost has already been covered) for a Shepherd Hut which will be located in beautiful Cotswold countryside and will offer a place for visitors from near and far to find tranquility, as well as being used for mindfulness and positive psychology courses.

If YOU or someone you know would like to stay here, getting involved in the Crowdfunding means that you get early bird booking, cheaper rates and get to look forward to a restful break once the Shepherd Hut launches in October 2018.

The Shepherd Hut: This will be supplied by a local Cotswold supplier who makes stunning huts using traditional craft techniques and which provide all the luxury you would expect from a company dedicated to quality. The hut is small but perfectly formed and will provide a kitchen with fridge, hob and oven, bathroom with shower, cosy dining area and king sized bed. The atmosphere will be very restful and outside there will be a fire pit, space to eat whilst admiring the natural surroundings and explore the wildflower meadows.

The location: Situated on the idyllic edge of the Cotswolds, and close to a wonderful network of footpaths, it is surrounded by green fields and nature-filled woodland. A local village was used as the  village for the Downton Abbey TV series and the setting is picture-perfect. Some highlights include the barn owl flying by at dusk, the family of hedgehogs, the joyous bird song and wildflowers, walks to the Thames and to local gastro-pubs.

There is simply nothing better than heading out and feeling grass under your feet, seeing big vistas opening up in front of you and feeling your heart soar.
