The National Day for Staff Networks is about starting a social movement of change and we would love it if you would be a part of this exciting journey.
Staff networks are making work better and bring added value - to employees and the wider organisation - as they work to drive out inequalities and creative a more inclusive workplace.
Wednesday 10th May 2017, (and the second Wednedsay in May thereafter) will launch the country’s first ever day dedicated to formally recognising and celebrating the fantastic effort of staff networks operating in the UK workplace.
The day will aim to:
- Encourage employers to acknowledge staff networks and how, through their insight, innovation and intelligence, add value and help make constructive use of difference thus improving the corporate health of the organisation.
- Help staff networks to collaborate in their celebration and, given the ‘intersectionality’ of employees, identify ways how they can work together in the future to continue to raise awareness and foster inclusion in the workplace.
- Change the conversation regarding employee networks so that they are seen as business critical
There are plans to hold events across the country and we have a growing team of regional ambassadors who will take the lead for their area.
We want to raise funds to support the regional ambassadors and create a range of tools to further equip staff networks. e.g. create a dedicated website and undertake research.
Join us, support us, and let's make work better.
