St Mungo’s aim is to reduce homelessness in England, and help those people on the streets, get back to a better and healthier lifestyle.

New stretch target

If our £500 target has been met, our partnership with HSBC bank will make a pound-to-pound match, which will double our revenue, that will also be donated to the charity.

St Mungo’s aim is that everybody has a place to call home and can fulfil their dreams and ambitions. We know that recovering from homelessness isn’t just about giving someone a roof over their head – that’s why we support clients on every step of their journey from rough sleeping into recovery.

Facts about homelessness

  • Around 4,266 people sleep on the streets each night in England.

  • Homelessness has increased by 141% since 2010

  • 18% of people sleeping rough are women

  • 726 people died while sleeping rough or in emergency accommodation last year

  • 20 people sleep rough for the first every single night in London

  • The average age of death for a homeless person is just 43.

How your support can help

  • £10 could pay for a client’s dog to get a health check from a vet

  • £25 helps keep our outreach vans running for a week.

  • £50 could pay for a day's literacy training for someone unable to read and write.

  • £100 could pay for two homeless people access to a hot meal, warm bed and vital healthcare.
