Supporting Education in London with a New Centre

Super Thinkers are desperate to move into a new centre. Opening up services to 5000+ children, and expand on the work with Social Services.

We did it!

On 13th Mar 2017 we successfully raised £80 with 3 supporters in 14 days

Super Thinkers is a children’s learning centre with a difference.  Based in Romford, Essex, we are a family based community and accept people from all walks of life.

The work we do at the centre is vital to so many of our families. Some of whom are on a low income, some are single parents, and some families have children with special needs who need that little extra care is not able to go anywhere else.

Our philosophy is never to turn down a family who need our help. We also offer assistance to families who are on the Social Services at risk register, this is is often given free of charge.

The centre is more of a community rather than just a Breakfast/After School, Tuition or Holiday Club. Family run we take care of each other, and a lot of the time we donate our time to help families, attending meetings in an advocacy role or sponsoring a child in need.

Unfortunately 6 months ago we lost our permanent home as the lease expired.  Since then we have carried on regardless through renting a space at the local Salvation Army centre and borrowing space in the local library on a Saturday.  However, what we really need is a new home for our centre and our children.

The good news is we’ve found a great space, in our local high street in Romford which means its accessible to many more families in the area. And, we have planning permission to adapt the space to our requirements.  The even better news is that the new premises will allow us to help an additional 100 children per week.

Now, here is where you can help.  In order for us to carry out the necessary building work at the new premises we need to raise £10,000 – which obviously is a lot of money – but in real terms its just over £20 per week for each additional child we will be able to help in the first year.

This is a centre in your community and by showing us support you are showing your local area you care.

Thank you
