In Sri Lanka many people don't have permanent houses to live in, this is due to the fact that during this coronavirus pandemic, animals are escaping and having more freedom. Elephants for example have been destroying peoples homes and stealing all their food. Sri Lanka’s people have been ordered to stay at home due to curfew and most people don’t have permanent homes to go to. These temporary houses have walls made of mud and the roof is made of flimsy coconut leaves or polyethylene bags or sheets. Therefore animals can easily destroy their houses leaving many families homeless.
I will be using these funds to build permanent and safe homes for all those disadvantaged people. With the help of my younger brother and his team, we will be able to successfully do this project.I was born in Sri Lanka and I have seen many poor families who don’t have safe houses for them and their children. I have already built a few houses with my own money, this is something I’ve always wanted to and I am happy that I am finally able to do it and help others. This project means so much to me, it breaks my heart to see the living conditions of many people around me. 100% of all funds raised will go to help these poor people. So in return when you donate I will send to you either a handmade cushion or womenswear or a face mask. Please comment when you donate or email me for further Information about this exchange, e.g clothing size, preference or address. My email is: email@example.com.
