New stretch target

Music lights up more areas of the brain than most activities. Music can be used  to access long lost memories and provide a lucid connection  to the world, for those struggling to find their way. This is why the group "Songs for the Memory" was formed - for dementia sufferers and their carers to sing and socialise together, and share happy times.

Joan attended this Dementia singing group with her daughter Debby for 3 years.
In this time, this group became a pivotal part of the last few wonderful years of Joan's life in Frome.
Joan simply adored this group, singing, laughing and becoming a much loved member of this warm friendly group. It was amazing to see how Joan would come alive when she sang.
As a family we will always be grateful to Songs for the Memory for the friendship and joy we had there.

Unfortunately the group, led by the singing teacher Emily, lost its major funding in the summer so it now needs our support to raise funds so it can continue bringing joy and light in the wonderful work it does.
Your pledges and support are really appreciated by Joan’s family, and all the families that attend.

It will be the greatest Christmas gift if this group can continue in 2018

Many thank yous x
