Portishead SoapBox Race - Vandalism Fund
We did it
On 3rd August 2017 we successfully raised £500 with 31 supporters in 14 days

To raise funds to cover the cost of mindless vandalism that took place to our marquee so that St. Peter's Hospice don't suffer.

Sunday 16th July 2017 saw the innugural Portishead Soapbox Race on Esplanade Road. The event was an amazing success with over 10,000 people visiting the town. We had over 30 teams enter to take part and everyone had a great day.

Sadly, you may have seen in the news that there was an act of vadalism on the marquees that had been brought in for the event. The side wall and roof panels of the marquee had been cut and torn with a knife. This means that they need to be replaced.

As most antendees will know, every penny of profit from this event is going straight to St. Peter's Hospice which means that this unexpected repair bill comes directly out of St. Peter's Hospice funds.

As the event organisers, we would like to try and crowd fund the repair cost amongst the local community so that St. Peter's Hospice do not suffer. If people can donate anything they have spare to help pay for this repair, we can allow St. Peter's Hospice to keep all the funds raised for them.

Got an idea like this?

Our crowd has raised over £70 million for bright ideas and good causes.
