Hello, my name is Vic Hyland and I am known for my educational work with the guitar, and research work into creativity in music. In the past I have been an international examiner for the Registry of Guitar Tutors and a songwriter. My interest in teaching has led to nurturing new talent and I have had an influence on a number up and coming musicians. Amongst my teaching methods is the use of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and I have an interest in consciousness and creativity which has led to the book Art of Practice and the CD Creativity and Health that deals with the areas of learning and the problems with education within society. I am the director of 440 Music Ltd, a company that teaches music, primarily guitar, song writing and personal development coaching. One area that I am very passionate about is allowing people to reconnect to their creative selves and this gave birth to the Bluescamp Summer School which is now just completed its eleventh year. Next year we are expanding and running a Bluescamp in France as well as the traditional one at Tonbridge School. The concept for this which is very similar to the album which I am promoting is that people have music in them all they have to do is to let it out with some guidance. The album ‘Snorses for Courses’ comes from a little figurine that was half horse half snail which is creator termed a ‘Snorse’ I took this idea and mixed together amateurs who are mostly teenagers with professional players to create the album. All recordings are done there is just a little bit of mixing left and the production of a physical hardcopy CD. The recordings will be available online through Spotify iTunes et cetera My vision for this is that all the people that are involved will be able to use the CD and the songs on it to promote whatever artistic venture they wish or to give them the confidence to use the skills that they developed whilst being involved in the project. The sky is the limit as a number of my previous pupils have gone on to do incredible things some of them touring the world along with famous musicians. Please support this project in any way you can. Many thanks
