We love a challenge. We must do, as we started a pork snack-based business with just £500.
We think the humble pork crackling and scratching are AWESOME, but they have been a bit neglected – left in the shadows while new-fangled ‘cooler’ foods had their ten minutes of fame. That belief morphed into an obsession – to the point that after we launched a range of frankly awesome flavoured pork crackling along came whopping great big advent calendars, wedding favours, a beer, a hot sauce, a cookbook and a huge range of gifts.
We’re not ones for big, gushy value statements, but we’ve got our three simple rules that we live each day by. Do great things. Have some fun. Don’t be a d*ck.
Our entire value proposition is built around “When crisps are not enough” as we believe that in a world of utter b0ll0cks, our customers want to enjoy real times with real people.
Over the past 3 years we have launched the business and built a team of over 13 staff based in Yattendon, Berkshire and have a turnover of £2.5m. We have a logistics operation which can pick, pack and ship comfortably over 600 orders a day and we are the only brand in our sub-category of porky snacks to be awarded the prestigious Great Taste Awards; we actually have 9.

We are a passionate, driven team and we aspire to be the most innovative and charismatic food and drink company in the world. We will do this by surprising and delighting our customers with great tasting products, supplied in exciting formats, all branded in a fun, engaging and conversational way. Our vision is that these products help embellish the piggin’ moments in our customer’s lives.
Why we're entering VOOM 2018:
Two reasons for us. Primarily, we are a young start-up and we know that reputation is everything if our brand is going to succeed. We work tirelessly to ensure we have the highest quality product we can, but telling people we exist is really difficult when we just don't have the funds to spend on big ol' marketing plans. A platform like VOOM helps us spread our piggin' message to as many potential customers as we can.
Secondly, we've entered the crowd funding award as we would love the chance to expand our range of porky wares into cold chain gammon. The type of product that graces your supermarket fridges and tastes delicious but needs a lot of attention to bring it back to its former glory. By pledging to us today, you'll help make our piggin' vision a reality.
So, what's next for us:
We're big believers in that you're gonna DREAM, you gotta dream PIG. So we have some big ambitious goals for the next 3 years. The fact our BHAG (Big Hairy Audicious Goal) is to be bigger than Walkers and more loved than Lego should say it all really!
So, in the next two years we would like to launch a nut range as well as enter the uncooked meat category with 5 lines available in supermarkets.
In 2019 we also plan to test a restaurant concept giving customers the unique Snaffling Pig experience serving popular pub classics with ambles of taste.
