Our aim is to raise money to buy Smart TVs. These will be used by the children staying in the Hematology and Oncology Ward at the RBHSC.

In March 2021 our son, George, had to start Chemotherapy to treat his Brain Tumour. As a result, he has had many stays in the Hematology Ward at our wonderful hospital, The Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children.

We found the days long and struggled to constantly keep our son entertained whilst staying in hospital. (This was made even harder due to COVID 19 precautions as the children can not leave their rooms or mingle in the common areas) Although there was a TV in the room, there was really only one channel that showed some cartoons that George enjoys.

We would love to raise enough to supply each of the children's rooms with a Smart TV to enable them to watch their favourite cartoons and shows on the likes of YouTube, Netflix, etc. We feel that this would be beneficial for all the children and young teenagers that have to stay there regularly, now and in the future. It will allow them more freedom of choice and make the stay at hospital a little less stressful. If you can help in any way we would really appreciate it. Thank you!
