Sing Along the River 2017

Project by m9ham

To support free live music events that celebrate the best of local music in Cornwall.

We did it!

On 3rd Sep 2017 we successfully raised £555 of £500 target with 28 supporters in 42 days

Sing Along the River is a series of free community live music evenings held every Thursday in August. Hosted by Lostwithiel's community choir, Lost in Song, each evening provides music to suit all tastes with delicious festival food and a licensed bar.  This year the choir have been collaborating with artists including The Grenaways, The DayLight Choir and Jamie Crowe, to produce a new take on many great tunes.  Lostwithiel Town Band will play every evening and we will be joined by some of the best choirs and bands from across Cornwall. To ensure we can play on, whatever the weather, we will have a covered stage and expert sound amplification (you just need a brolly). As usual there will be some great songs for you to join in with and plenty of space to dance under the twinkle of festoon and bunting.

We need your help to raise the last £500 to bring everything together. We pride ourselves on aiming to pay musicians a fair fee and we want to provide the audience with a high quality event. We have received a Grant for the Arts from Arts Council England, but it still takes funds to provide lighting and toilets as well as ensure we can advertise and signpost the events.

In return for your generosity we are pleased to offer food from Big Pan Parties and hot drinks from Harding and Scoots at one of our evenings. We hope you can come and sing along the river with us this summer - we look forward to seeing you there!
