Using classical instrumentation with improvised jazz structures, international pianist David Braid and 13-piece contemporary orchestra Sinfonia UK Collective will perform 'Flow2', a unique trailblazing musical meditation on time, landscape, global cultures and intangible heritage. The performance will take place in Mann Island's Atrium, the covered space outside Open Eye Gallery as part of LightNight.
David Braid is a Steinway artist and double Academy Award winner, whose music has been described as "refreshingly uncategorizable" by Paris Transatlantic. Sinfonia UK Collective, led by Liverpool-born Lee Tsang, has an international reputation as one of the UK's most innovative ensembles, dedicated to championing new and unfamiliar musical perspectives.
Our performance is free to all, but we have special benefits for those who would like to support us.
Following LightNight, one of the new pieces we'll be performing (Corona Divinae Misericordiae) is planned for a special recording that is due to take place in Prague.
