MAN came to light because I wanted to look at the subject of duality in every human being on a very base level - how we perceive ourselves, our art and how we can be the very best or worst of ourselves… In it’s most broken down light, I decided to explore this in a short script. For me, creativity is subtraction. That is why there is also no dialogue exploring this theme.
The concept tracks a walk of a man and ends back at the same place and time… but within that, there are two versions of himself - one, his worst and one, his best. These characters, both him could represent a past and present, an insecurity within his personality, a duality or darker still schizophrenia… it could even be that he has a twin or alter ego. The premise does not conclude on this… I had different versions which went deeper into finding a conclusion but I sort of want to play on this darkness creatively and leave it open. Inspired by artistic struggle and perception.

Writer and Director, LL (Laura-Louise) has a background in producing shows at CNN & indpendent filmmaking for the likes of IFC in the US and BBC. She is still young and aspiring - now taking the leap to immerse herself in her true passion... She is also scoring the music for this project.
DoP Tom Turley is one of the UK's finest cinematographers and with him comes further professionality that this film will look and feel it's best.
We are also encouraging new talent to get involved and have a handful of new filmmkaers on set to learn with us.
