Thank you to everyone who has campaigned to protect Sheffield's street trees - and raising the issue of who looks after our trees.

I am proud to be part of the campaign to save Sheffield's trees. Whatever happens, I hope that other local authorities will learn from the Sheffield experience how NOT to do urban tree management. In the face of so much criticism from national and international experts - who are willing to speak up publicly - I'm astounded that Sheffield City Council are still trying to justify this totally unjustifiable tree-felling target.

Keep fighting.... people around the world admire your dedication, innovative protests and peaceful approach. Citizens deserve to know the details of contracts they are paying for. Who is really benefiting here? All the details must come out... Wishing you resilience and strength as the situation continues. Hope justice will prevail.

Disgusting behaviour by Sheffield Council. I am yet to hear of one claim that the tree protesters have made which has turned out to be false (I am not in STAG, incidentally). I am watering the new saplings on our street (which are expected to have a much smaller canopy compared with the previous trees there) since Amey and SCC can't be bothered to look after their new trees.

Got an idea like this?

Our crowd has raised over £70 million for bright ideas and good causes.
