As much a social experiment as a social enterprise, 'Share The Wealth! Make me a millionaire' is designed to see just how far wealth redistribution and human generosity can be taken. The concept is simple: how much can be raised by how many people over how long.
There are no gimmicks, there is no ulterior motive, there is no catch. The aim of the project is to identify how much are people willing to invest, financially and intellectually, when there is no reward or 'end product'. Nada. Zilch. Put in basic terms, how much capital can be raised simply by asking for it.
As a by-product, the project will demonstrate the general populace's penchant for 'novelty' and irreverance. The project works as a satire of itself and the entire investment concept, where so-called 'Dragons' run the rule over inch-perfect creations and demand more and more reward in return for negligible input. None of that here; simply invest what you want safe in the knowledge that that is as far as your input and reward will go. One brief moment of cyber contact and you;re out.
It may work, it may crash and burn. But it is worth a try. Working from the golden rule of 'if you don't ask, you'll never get', let's see if we can make me a millionaire.
