Serengeti shall never die.
Not quite
Unfortunately this project was not successful.

I run a Tanzanian BBQ business which i trade from home - due to Covid19 and the lockdowns rules i can no longer run the business from home.

It has always been a dream for me to own a business which is food related. I love cooking and i knew one day i would want to own something of my own.

This dream became partly a reality when i registered my business couple of years ago and did my first ever food festival. I absolutely loved every minute of it. Catered for 900 people (on my first ever "gig") and from then on it was no turning back. I traded from home and the demand / feedback was good.

Then Covid19 happened - everything pretty much went downhil from there. I had to stop trading due to the lockdown restrctions and/or the social distancing aspect of things. My montlhy income was obviously affected which pretty much was half of what i used to get.

I couldnt sit and wait for this to end, like most of us no one really knows when this will end!!

I have now decided to rent a small unit near the city centre and run the business from there, it will be take away only respectial the social distancing guidelines. I aim to hire staff who have been uneomployed for a long time and finding it difficult to be hired by others. I also want to give opportunities to people over the age of 60 who like to keep busy and stay fit.

Already having a very good returning customer base, i aim to establish my business from this unit and with time i want to open a sit-in restaurant. East African themed decor (i have a picture in my mind of how i want this to look). Serving the finest East African food i can cook (with the the help of my mom ;) )

The money i aim to crowdfund will help me towards putting down a deposit for a commercial unit, as well as make it ready for business. i.e. refurb and basic equipment. I already have all the equipment i need to run the business from Day 1. The money will also be used to cover the various insuranced i will need. (Public Liability etc)

Once i am ready to trade i know my sheer determination and passion for my african values will make this a huge success. This will also enable me to branch out into private catering at a much larger scale.

This is my dream, this is my baby and i need your help to make me live it

Thank you very much for reading

Kind regards
