To raise £800 so I can travel to The Central Museum of Textiles in Lodz, Poland where I will be exhibiting my artwork 'A bit of Skirt’.

This Autumn my Artwork “A bit of skirt” (detail pictured above) will be presented in the most Prestigious International Textile Art Exhibition; The 16th Triennial of Tapestry; Breaching Borders, at The Central Museum of Textiles in Lodz, Poland; 5 Oct 2019 to 15 March 2020. “A Bit of Skirt” was selected out of 585 worldwide applications and will be one of 55 works. The Triennial attracts the world’s leading artists and I will be the sole Artist representing the UK in the Exhibition. The British Council will be an honourable patron of 16th Triennial. I am planning to fly to Lodz and stay for 5-6 nights to work with the Lodz Central Museum of Textile team to complete installing ‘A Bit of Skirt’ in-situ and to attend the opening of The 16th International Triennial at The Central Museum of Textiles on the 5th October 2019. This Exhibition offers a high-profile Textile Art platform to present my work to a new audience and network. Any money raised will go towards return flights from UK to Poland and 5-6 nights accommodation in Lodz. “Lucy Brown's work is exceptional in her generation of textile practitioners for both its consistent approach to thought-provocation, material meaning, and accessibility, and its significant underpinning with an authentic, reflective inner dialogue with the material and the cultural meanings it conjures”.
