Charlotte has been dancing all her life and having completed her Dance Degree, went on to do a Teacher Training degree and during this did a lot of work with Special Educational Needs (SEN) students. Following on from this she then started her own business and has always had a big focus on inclusivity.
In May 2019 Charlotte set up a SEN dance class in the Worcester area which was very popular, but due to covid-19 this class is no longer running. This got Charlotte thinking that there are probably more people in the SEN community who have lost activities due to covid.
Due to Covid, with Charlotte being unable to run her SEN classes, she got thinking about what she could offer. She decided that she would create some dance videos but didn't just want to film them from home!
Having spoke to quite a few people in the SEN community Charlotte found that the community were finding the current situation a challenge, so knew that these were needed now more than and ever.
The communities normal routine, which in some cases is really important, has been completely flipped on its head and with the constant changes in guidelines this has left them feeling really confused.
A lot of the community have lost the activity that they enjoyed the most as it was their way of being able to express themselves in a world that doesn't make sense to them.
The target for this project is £5K. This will pay for the film studio, videographer, editing and the marketing once they're complete. As a guide for you the costs of this are:
Venue - £500
Videographer - £800 - 2 videographer
Editing - £600
Travel to do this - £100
Total = £2000
Then add Marketing on top of that, roughly £200 makes it a minimum £2,200!
With your help Charlotte can create dance videos and get them to the SEN community for FREE and help them to still take part in what they love and communicate in their way!
If you can't back us with funds then please consider sharing this project.
