Sea Cadets Ballymena

Sea Cadets Ballymena

We are raising money to fix our minibus, which is currently in bad condition and in need of a lot of repair.

We did it!

On 30th Apr 2017 we successfully raised £20 with 2 supporters in 56 days

Sea Cadets Ballymena are a youth charity based on the traditions of the Royal Navy.  Our Northern Ireland Charity Number is:  103992.  Our unit opened in 1989 and is in the town of Ballymena, in a low income area of Northern Ireland.

We are committed to helping each young person in our unit to reach their potential with practical application and support.  We provide them with many experiences and qualifications in engineering, first aid, leadership and many more which provide life skills to assist them as they grow into adulthood.  Our training courses also include B-Tec and RYA Accredited courses.

Due to the location of the unit we need to transport our cadets to Portglenone each week to practice rowing and kayaking, and this is where we need your help.  Our minibus is in need of repair, and having a safe, reliable minibus is vital to our units survival, as without transportation the cadets would lose out on the waterborne activities which go hand in hand with being part of a nautical based youth charity.

Your donation can help us keep our doors open, by providing transportation that will help us continue to provide a fun and educational experience to all 10-18yr olds who join us.  With practice on the water our cadets can compete at district and national tournaments, which not only improve their fitness, but also their self-confidence.

Whatever the amount of your donation, you are helping us improve the lives of our cadets, and enabling us to provide a positive effect in our community now, and for the next generation.

Thank you for your time reading this, and a huge thank you for considering helping our cause.  Anyone who donates to our cause will receive a thankyou via our facebook and twitter pages.
