Even pre-COVID, it was difficult to assess talent accurately. Bad hires cost as much as 1 year’s salary, due to inaccurate screenings that progress bad candidates and negative experiences that disengage good candidates - recall when someone was late or could not hear the other person.
The situation is exacerbated in this ‘new normal’ without face-to-face interactions, and there is greater need for better intelligence on candidates. With economic re-openings, the surge of job seekers will make it even harder to screen for the best candidates under the immense volume.
We were forced to get comfortable with being on video in this new ‘Zoom’ era. Timely, Screenable allows recruiters and candidates to use video technology to interview on their own schedule, answering pre- defined interview questions in short-form videos to showcase themselves beyond the CV. Recruiters can then share the best screening profiles to hiring managers, who will receive a more holistic view of the candidate.
