We are a small swimming club that was established in 1934. We offer the local children the chance to Learn to Swim in a safe fun friendly environment, and then encourage them to keep swimming to maintain a healthy life style by offering them the opportunity to participate in competitive swimming.

Learning to swim is a skill that can not only help with a healthy lifestyle but could save a life.

All our teachers and coaches are volunteers, with many having been taught to swim at the club as a child and now later in life passing on their skills.

We aim to increase the awareness of our club in the schools local to our pool and offer all children the opportunity of swimming lessons with our enthusiastic team of teachers.

The funding will pay for 20 hours of pool time. Spread over 10 weeks we will be able to offer 40 children the chance of 10 30 minute swimming lessons. Our team of teachers in that time will be able to teach basic water safety and instil the confidence in the children to want to learn to swim.
