Save Treetops!
We did it
On 22nd April 2020 we successfully raised £2,000 with 13 supporters in 28 days

On Monday 23rd March 2020 Treetops had to close it's doors to all children. We are now facing a very uncertain time with zero income.

New stretch target

We continually look to re-invest any profits made in to our setting. This could be by improving the environment through re-decorating, refurbishing or adding new features. It could be by improving the toys and resources on offer to the children every day. It could be by organising trips out during the holidays to allow children to gain new experiences.

Trinity Treetops Kids Club has existed in different forms as an 'out-of-school' childcare provider for over twenty years. We are based within the grounds of Trinity Primary School, Hereford, UK. We mainly serve Trinity Primary during term-time, however regularly welcome children from other schools during the holidays. We provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 4-11. Most of our families using the service are working parents who need 'extended hours'.

We are a 'not-for-profit' Community Interest Company. Any profits we do make are continually re-invested in to improving the setting, the resources on offer or providing new experiences to the children attending. We are run entirely separately from Trinity Primary. We have our own dedicated building which we lease from the School and pay rent for. We are entirely self-sufficient and not funded or protected in any way by our local Council. All of our income comes from the families using the service paying their childcare fees. As such we have zero 'protected income'.

On Monday 23rd March 2020 we had to close our doors entirely to children until further notice. This was in line with the government's advice for all children to stay at home where possible, and a drastic overnight reduction in demand for our service. We very much hope to return to normal service as soon as we can, whilst respecting this public health emergency and all the measures being taken.

We now find ourselves facing a sustained period of zero income whilst, in order to resume normal service again in the future, needing to protect our setting and our staff team to the best of our ability. We are naturally intending to take up whatever financial support is made available to us through government initiatives.

We have a small staff team of seven people, one of whom is full-time and six of whom are part-time. All of our team rely on their income to support their families and themselves.

We are appealing for donations to help keep Treetops alive through this uncertain time. Your donations will help us ensure Treetops can continue providing high quality childcare for many years to come. Under normal circumstances our setting has very high demand and is an invaluable asset to the local community.

The only thing we can offer in return, at this moment, is that your donation could be treated as credit against any future childcare with us. We understand that this may be relevant for some, and not for others. If you would like us to treat your donation as credit, please donate as normal and then contact us directly to request this.

Please be assured that any donations you make will be used to keep Treetops alive. We will do this by supporting our staff team through this difficult time and covering our usual bills & outgoings. Should there be anything left over we would use these amounts to improve the setting and our environment for the children who attend.

Thank you so much for your support!

We ask project owners to honour their rewards wherever possible but please note that all pledges are donations and there is no guarantee that you will receive any rewards from the project owner. Please see Crowdfunder's Terms of Use for more information regarding rewards for pledges.
